Painting analysis / Interior selection / comparison

Shape/Form, Colour, light
They all used many soft lines to create shapes; they are like waves or water, we can see from the melting body in the painting and waved shape gate in the interior, and the ceiling looks just like a whirlpool. The colour of the two images are a kind of same, they all use the khaki as the main colour, especially the ground in the two images. Lighting effects in these two images tend to be warm feeling, and from the shadows we can see they have the same light source.

Concept, Composition, Rhythm
This DALI’s painting was used the melting concept to express the his mood, things in the painting seems melting and unshaped, but it is clear to know what that is painted, the main things in the painting, there is almost no a straight line, most of lines are with gentle curves to delineate. They are like wax or cream that is melting, but the other things on the panting around are used delicate lines which are clearly expressed in the meaning of the thing itself. Now looking at Casa Battle’s interior, first feeling is the ceiling, it looks like a thing that is being melted, or the cream that was just stirred, they all have the felling of liquid, and the lines were used for this interior are like the lines from that painting, they are also soft and gentle curves to delineate. So they have the same concept, what is more, they have bit concepts with the rotation as well. The similar composition have to be found from the colours, firstly they all have the khaki ground as the base in the bottom of the images. And two Middle part of the images are also khaki colour, and in the painting, the position of the body on the tree is about same position of the lamp where is on the ceiling in the interior. And the rest part of body which has already melted is in the position of the gate in the interior. Because these two images have about similar colour, lighting and composition, they are rhythm in common.
